I just looked at my account and, apparently, have never received any credit since moving to BOINC. Assist? I have looked at your computers listing. Information technology looks similar your organization is non attached to the project. There is an very expert installation howto at the BOINC wiki which describes the installation steps : ID: 505126 · |

I just looked at my account and, apparently, have never received whatsoever credit since moving to BOINC. Aid? Thanks. I trust that means none of what nosotros've done since nosotros switched to BOINC is credited? the BOINC manager had previously said nosotros had 13268.67 credits which don't prove up online. I simply looked at my account and, apparently, have never received whatever credit since moving to BOINC. Aid? What does your BOINC Manager testify in the Projects pane? Is SETI@home listed there? If not, you lot need to attach the calculator, as Dotsch described. If S@h is shown, is at that place anything in the "Work done†column? If there’s a number there, that’due south the credit you’ve earnedâ€â€only not under the account you’re posting through hither, which is indeed your original Classic account. If the electronic mail address given on attaching the host was different, a new business relationship would have been created, fifty-fifty if the user-proper name was the same. <interruption for browsing> Well, that seems to be what happened. I’ve just found a listing on BOINCstats for an active SETI@home account under the proper noun Greg and Linda Sands. Information technology has 13,269 credits earned past a single G5 iMac since 23 Nov 2005. Does that sound like yours?

I just looked at my account and, apparently, have never received any credit since moving to BOINC. Help? That's the 1. Problem is, I now have two separate accounts, with two computer ID's assigned to my iMac. Ane business relationship is linked to team MacAddict and the other is not (naturally, the ane with 13,269 is not.) I guess in that location is no way to merge the estimator ID'due south (I tried, but it won't see both of the ID's to attain this.) Should I simply carelessness the thirteen,000+ pts in favor of the new account, or kill off the new account and alive with the old ane (which is showing the credit, only not assigning it to my squad?)

[That's the one. Problem is, I now have two separate accounts, with two reckoner ID'southward assigned to my iMac. 1 account is linked to team MacAddict and the other is not (naturally, the one with 13,269 is non.) I judge there is no way to merge the reckoner ID'southward (I tried, but it won't see both of the ID's to achieve this.) That’s actually strange. I don’t know how you managed to attach the iMac under two different accounts simultaneously; I don’t think you’re supposed to be able to exercise that. I suggest that you set both instances of the projection to â€Å"No new workâ€Â. When all the WUs are gone from the Work pane (if all that are left are â€Å"Ready to reportâ€Â, go back to Projects and click Update to articulate them), then detach from the project (twice, if necessary) to first the iMac with a clean slate once you decide which account to use. Should I just abandon the thirteen,000+ pts in favor of the new account, or kill off the new account and live with the old one (which is showing the credit, but not assigning it to my squad?) A couple of separate issues here: Merely credit earned while belonging to a team tin e'er be added to that team’s score, so regardless of what option you lot make Squad MacAddict’southward total will exist unaffected. Just AFAICT the stats sites bear witness each user account’south total in their team listings (the team’s full can be considerably less than the sum of its electric current members’), so keeping the BOINC cobblestones you’ve earned and then far would prevent your having to start over at the bottom of the rankings. There should be no problem joining the team, as long every bit you lot log in with your new BOINC info, non the former account you’ve been using to mail service here. (You tin can tell which log-in is current by clicking the Your Account link in the page header.) Have you lot looked at the returning Archetype participants page that’s linked from the home page? Things might have been simpler if your ‘inherited’ Classic account had never been used in BOINC, as when you outset started this thread. Merely there’s a new claim form that might be just the ticket for your situation. Over again, make sure you’re logged in to your new accountâ€â€the 1 with the 13k creditsâ€â€before opening the form. If you can get your Classic history linked to your new account, to which yous can also re-attach your iMac, you should exist all set. (You may lose the k credits or so yous earned on the quondam account in the meantime.) ID: 524435 · |
